Harbor Middle School was founded in 2001 just outside of Clearwater, Florida with the help of a Federal Education grant and a personal grant from Jimmy Buffett. Our school lies right on the oceanfront in order to connect our students to nature and provide them with a "safe harbor" as they sail through life.

    Each and every aspect of our school is a commitment to our students. As an ocean side community, HMS harbors the dreams of your young adults through an environmental awareness that gives back to the state of Florida and the world beyond.

    We broke ground in the fall of the year 2000 and followed through with our plan of the first classes to be held in the fall of 2001. With a smaller community of 300 students and 78 education professionals, HMS is the future of education. There is no limit to what our school can achieve!

    As a school of the future, we strive to be on the cutting edge of instruction, technology, and a "no boundaries" attitude. Walk between our walls and you will see education in its pure sense. Students come from a five county area to prepare themselves for life beyond.
