Dear Middle School Community, Welcome back! We hope you had a restful summer
because now it is time to get back to work and have some fun. You may have heard
rumors of a special school project that is going to take place in January. The

students, and immediate families will be invited to participate
in preparing and attending a two weeklong discovery cruise. We need everyone’s
help and input in order to prepare, plan, and participate in the details for
this wonderful opportunity for our middle school. Parents are encouraged to call
Judy at the Parent Resource Center to get more details (555-5555). In the
beginning of December, students in all grades will be integrated into all
subject areas pertaining to the trip. Since the trip is part of our Exploratory
Program, a variety of activities will be offered before the trip such as:
snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. The entire staff is looking
forward to hearing your ideas for subject matter and activities pertaining to
the preparation and participation of the cruise. Outside businesses and
organizations from the community are welcome to participate as well. We will be
updating everyone as soon as new details are set.
