The list below is tentative:

Exploratory Classes:

Snorkeling
Scuba-diving
Deep sea fishing
Marine navigation

Sciences:

Environmental Sciences: Students will explore how industry has polluted our oceans and seas and how it has effected plant and animal life (ecosystems).
Marine Biology: Students will study major life of the ocean, focusing on animals and plant life students may see on the cruise while snorkeling or scuba diving.
Ecology: Students will explore how ecosystems interact with clean sea and ocean water.

  Social Studies:

Cultural Studies: Students will be visiting a community in another country for four days; therefore, students will learn the customs, lifestyles, and cultural life of that community.  Students will also study the history and art of that culture.  This class will be required of all students.
Cultural Differences: Students will discover how the designated culture is different from their own.  Students will learn proper mannerisms to perform in that community.  Students will also learn important tips for traveling abroad.  They will also learn simple phrases in that community’s language to function in public.  (For example, “Where can I find the bathroom?) This is a required class for all students.
History of Culture: Students will explore the designated country’s history in depth.

Foreign Language:

Spanish: Students will take a course that in congruent with their level in Spanish.

Language Arts:

Literature: Students will be exposed to poetry, novels, and different styles of written works of the culture to be visited.  Students will learn about the culture’s famous authors and poets.

Math:

  1. Distance and speed of boat throughout the trip
  2. Actual measuring of the ship in square footage
  3. Funds needed for entire trip
  4. Converting American dollars to currency of community visiting
  5. Recipes for meals of culture: converting needed servings for meals for all attending cruise
Students will perform these tasks:

Swimming: Students will learn precautions to take while swimming on the coast of designated community.
CPR
First Aide
Beach volleyball
Backgammon
Ballroom dancing
